The Friendship Shelter, Inc.: Needs

Financial Assistance

The Friendship Shelter, located at 7163 Old 27 South, consists of eight residential units with a capacity of 32. Being an old structure, repairs are constantly required. 50% matching funds are required to match the grant received from the Michigan Housing Development Authority (MSHDA).

Tax deductible checks payable to the Friendship Shelter may be mailed to P.O. Box 2048, Gaylord, MI 49734. Cash or check donations can be made at Northwestern Bank's Gaylord branches.

The Friendship Shelter is a non-profit 501c(3) organization.

Volunteers

Provide a ride for someone in need (Dr. visits, out of town transporation)
Read a story to a child (Story Hour)
Answer phones for an hour or two
Help with the afternoon shift
Help with fund raisers throughout the year
Help publish the Newsletter
