Friendship Shelter, Inc. has a new DBA, Friendship Housing Center.
The name better reflects what the organization does. The Gaylord Herald Times recently interviewed our executive director, Marilyn Kaczanowsk, regarding the name change and a redefined mission. The story can be read here.
New Board Members Needed
The Friendship Shelter needs additional board members. Skills needed on the board include accounting, fund raising, marketing and administrative skills.

October 12th, Art Van Furniture awarded a $10,000 challenge grant to the Friendship Shelter. The grant will be used to purchase bedding and sturdy beds for the shelter. This is a challenge grant, meaning that the shelter has to raise $10,000 to receive the grant. Please help the Friendship Shelter meet the challenge and donate money for beds.
